| All Group"A" officers of the Central Board of Direct Taxes are eligible and required to be a member of this site | ||
| FAQ 3: | What is the prerequisite for being a member of the site? | |

To be a member of the site you need to have an e-mail account. In case you do not have an e-mail account you can create one at number of sites. This service is available free of cost. The sites where you can create your personal e-mail accounts are: 1. http://www.mail.yahoo.com 2. http://www.hotmail.com 3. http://www.rediff.com 4. http://www.indiatimes.com 5. http://www.mantramail.com/ The procedure to create an e-mail account at any of these sites is: a) Click on the link where they ask for new users to sign up. b) Select a username that is unique and is easy to remember. c) Select a password that is known only to you and can be easily remembered. d) Fill in your personal detail such as Name, Age, Sex and Security question(if available).All mandatory fields must be filled up. e) Submit the form. You can then login to your mail account to send and receive mails. |

| FAQ 7: | Where do I send out the printout of the completed form? | |
| The printout of the form first needs to be verified and countersigned by the Cadre Controlling Chief Commissioner/or designated officer in case of officers who are on deputation and couriered to the office of

| FAQ 8: | What happens if I lose my password? | |
| In case you loose your password then you can retrieve your password from the "Query " Section | ||
| FAQ 9: | I have requested for the password and still haven't received it? | |
| The password is sent within 12 hours of requesting for the password after verifying the information that has been submitted. In some cases the officers may have filled wrong details or the e-mail account that the officer has submitted may not be working. If the information submitted is erroneous then a mail would be sent to the officer specifying that the detail submitted is incorrect and officer needs to request for the password again. In case the officer's e-mail account is not working then the officer needs to check here where the list of officers with erroneous e-mail account is displayed.

| FAQ 10: | Where do I fill in my present posting details? | |
| The present posting details needs to be submitted in the posting form. The "To Date" is the date when you are submitting the information. | ||
| FAQ 11: | Is the field "Posting Description" in the posting form mandatory? | |
| The field "Posting Description" is NOT mandatory. If you do not wish to fill in your posting description then you need not submit that information. | ||
| FAQ 12: | My spouse is working in the Income Tax Department but does not have Civil List Code Number? | |
| In case your spouse does not have a Civil List Code Number, you need to give your spouse's Civil List Code Number as 00000 | ||
